Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to Celebrate First Anniversary with an “Alumni Reunion”
HOUSTON – October 19, 2009 – The expanded Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center in Houston, Texas, has accomplished its first 365 days of nursing newborns in life threatening situations into healthy and happy toddlers. To celebrate, the NICU is inviting its graduates and their families to return for a free reunion festival.
Families will reunite with the NICU physicians, nurses and staff who cared for the child during their stay and connect with families of fellow NICU graduates. The festival will be held Saturday, October 24, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 10655 Steepletop Drive in Houston, Texas
“It will be wonderful to see how our graduates are doing now,” said Dr. Tung Giep, president of Newborn Intensive Care Specialist. “Each of these babies is a survivor, and so it will be very exciting to celebrate our anniversary and their success together.”
