Newborn Intensive Care Specialist (NICS) provide quality care to infants who are born prematurely, experience difficulties during delivery or show health problems during the first few hours or days of life.
NICS uses the latest medical equipment and treatment plans to address the individual needs of each newborn. Our board-certified medical team of neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners utilize a family-centered, multi-disciplinary approach to neonatal services, delivering better and more cost-effective care to patients.
NICS services include, but are not limited to:
- Care for critically ill, premature and term babies
- Care for well babies / well baby hospitalists
- Circumcisions
- Care for re-admits up to two months
- Attend high-risk deliveries
- Coordination of care with sub-specialists and pediatricians
- Newborn hearing screenings
